Cateran Trail

A Circular Walk in the Heart of Scotland

The Cateran Trail is a circular walk of 64 miles (104 km) that starts in Blairgowrie, near Perth, and follows in the footsteps of cattle-rustlers (caterans). This waymarked Trail can be completed comfortably within five days. It follows ancient paths through glens, mountains and farmland of Highland Perthsire, with fine scenery, heritage and wildlife. Gradients are gentle to moderate, and various route options are described, including a weekend Minitrail.
