St Cuthbert's Way runs for 100km (62.5 miles) from Melrose in the Scottish Borders, through Northumberland National Park, to Holy Island off the coast of Northumberland.

Along its length this waymarked route passes through a wide variety of landscapes, rolling farmland, verdant river valleys, sheltering woods, bleak and exposed hill tops and moorland, coastal flats and sand dunes and a causeway passable only at low tide.
